Project Description

Pick a topic to make a magazine about. Research the demographics for similar existing magazines and apply that information to your design. Create three covers, a letter from the editor, a table of contents, two image heavy spreads, and two text heavy spreads.

Design Statement

I decided to make my magazine about the creation of movies. It would be for people involved in movie creation that want to hone their craft and for fans of movies who want to learn more about how they are created. From researching other magazines about movies, I determined my main audience was men from ages 20-50.

Movies themselves are art. I wanted my design to intentional but simple so as to allow for the movie stills to take center stage. The layouts I made were intended to accentuate the imagery I selected.
